Mmmm, the WMI zenpack I believe still uses SNMP for CPU info. Zenoss Core is pretty SNMP Dependant. I suppose you could use ping modeling with the WMI template bound and see what happens, but then I think you'd lose out on a bunch of the built in Zenoss stuff like Process monitoring etc...
