Would I encounter a problem if I replaced the localhost device with a device that uses the machine's actual hostname and IP address?
Right now, we have two devices defined for the same machine: /Devices/Server/Linux/localhost /Devices/Server/Linux/admin1.gtwy.local Basically, I'd like like to remove the localhost device to prevent confusion as "localhost", while accurately describing our zenoss server, also describes every other server we manage. I hesitate because I have noticed occasional blue-colored events (zenmodeler /App/Stop) on the hostnamed device that don't appear on the localhost device. So I don't want to remove localhost if it's going to break something.
