Hello, I'm new to Zenoss, and so far I love it. It is far more powerful than any other NMS (open-source or closed commercial) I have tried. However there are a few things things I have had difficulty with the following being the most pressing--
Is there any way to manually set the interface speed of an interface? To elaborate, we have over two hundred devices (PtP radios) where SNMP reports all of their interface speeds as 100kbps. Unfortunately, the operating system on these units does not enable me tweak the snmp settings at all. The problem arises with trying to use traffic thresholds on this device. I get thousands of traffic threshold events because of this. I could work around it by setting the threshold at 7500% or something like that, but I'd really prefer a more elegant solution. For now I have just created a local version of the interface template at that level of the device hierarchy and disabled all thresholds, but I really need threshold alerting for these devices.
