Using v2.1.72. When I go into Events, I often (but not always) get the popup saying "Cannot communicate with the server!"
I've already searched the forum, and it seems the standard recommendation is to check that MySQL is up and working. Mine's up. And working. And according to what I'm seeing in phpMyAdmin, the events map perfectly onto what I'm seeing in Zenoss, just as it did last night. (The counts for each type were different last night, but matched last night's view in Zenoss.) As an aside, this particular popup error isn't terribly informative. If it *had* been a MySQL issue, or even a generic database issue, it should say so. Until reading the other posts, I had thought that maybe Zenoss was having trouble reaching out to the hosts in question, and that this iwas its way of being 'helpful'. Anyway, usability quibble aside, does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this error? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17358#17358 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
