I am curious if anyone can give me a hand. I am still a bit new to the linux scene. I decided to setup a fedora core 6 box on my network to try and implement some system monitoring. I started to install Zenoss, when low and behold we have a wonderfull power outage. Of course this happens during my install. I tried to boot my box back up and during the start up i am hanging on the loading initial zenoss objects into the zeo database.(this can take a few minutes). Unfortunately its alot longer than a few minutes as my box still has not made it past this point. Is there away to skip loading this info during start up so I can try to clean out the bad install and start fresh. Thanks in advance.
Taking the following steps should result in a clean system: 1. Stop Zenoss entirely 2. As the zenoss user: rm $ZENHOME/var/*.zec 3. As root: touch /opt/zenoss/.fresh_install 4. As root: service zenoss start _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
