Sorry, missed that you had done that. No idea - those errors are right back from windows. Can you access WMI from a windows machine plugged into the same switch to that test machine?

Finally have time to work on this again:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# /opt/zenoss/bin/wmic -U .\wmi%wmi //MACHINENAME "SELECT * FROM Win32_Printer"
ERROR: dcom_create_object.
ERROR: Login to remote object.
NTSTATUS: NT code 0xc0070005 - NT code 0xc0070005

So that's what I get when I try to run that command against my Windows XP machine. I tried googling those error codes and I get a lot of pages about Exchange which of course has nothing to do with what I'm trying to do.

I've got the user 'wmi' as an admin user and just to make sure I put it as a user with full rights to the root of the WMI Security Control (propagating down of course).
The Firewall is disabled, I turned off the Security Center totally
No ACLs in the way, just one unmanaged switch between the monitor box and my computer I can run the wmic command from the zenoss box but it spits back the "error" that you see above.

Thanks for your assistance.
