I'm trying to model some wireless devices, and I would like to monitor both the wired and wireless interfaces on each device. Zenoss discovers both types of interface, but in models them both as ethernetCsmacd, even though the ifType for the wireless interfaces is ieee80211. I can add my custom sources and graphs to the ethernetCsmacd template, but then I get junk graphs for the wired interfaces.
How can I get different behavior for each interface on the same device without having to touch each interface? I have lots of devices where I have this problem, and manually editing each interface is not an option. Ideally, I would like to either set a different template for each ifType number in the class, or figure a way around each interface thinking that it should use ethernetCsmacd (especially those interfaces which are so clearly NOT ethernetCsmacd). -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17572#17572 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
