It is really interesting to see all these commands flying about for fixing the various glitches that pop up in Zenoss, and I am getting the logging issue with VLAN OIDs as well. I'd like to take a shot at fixing it but I have one really >stupid< question though.
In the VMware version of Zenoss, where in the h... do you actually enter the commands and -have them work-? The command prompt in the VMware window? Some magic hidden screen within the browser front end? NONE of those commands work, even after using su zenoss as the login. Bash just complains that it doesn't know anything about ANY of them. Is the VMware version THAT much different? This is an interesting product, but I have to agree with some of the comments in the "Don't use this product" thread, especially compounded with whatever 'twists' that running under VMware adds.
