hi, am i right, that you already had the MySQL Database up and running?
It seems, that the Zenoss installer could not set up the Database. It tries to install the Database as root without a Password (i'm pretty sure, that you can configure the password somewhere...) The root user is not needed during normal operation, (the user zenoss is used later). So you could try to reinstall Zenoss, but first allow passwordless root access to the DB or try to find out how to configure the DB-password. Btw. how did you install it? Good luck!
