Hi, Recently Zenoss stopped sending emails alerting us of problems with our network. First of all, it was Sendmail that was broken, i.e. the server itself couldnt send mails. I removed Sendmail and installed Postfix, and now the server can send mails again. However, Zenoss still cant alert us via email.
Here is the message from the zenactions.log: 2008-03-27 10:55:26 INFO zen.ZenActions: failed to send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [zenoss] Error message socket.error - (111, 'Connection refused') There are multiple entries of this problem in that log file. It looks like a networking issue, however the Zenoss server doesnt have a firewall configured, can send emails using echo "test" | mail -s testsubject [EMAIL PROTECTED], and nothing has changed with regards to it's tcp/ip settings. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17824#17824 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
