[quote="guyverix"]I know it is not optimal, but this is close to a way I have
been doing things as well, although I would make it a little different. Only
use the upper threshold, and have any errors be at least 2 integer values above
what your alarm threshold is set to. So return 1 and 2 are ok, 3 is your
threshold, and 5+ are your errors.

So, I remember somewhere else in zenoss admin manual has stated that,
min/max threshold is just one kind of threshold.

I got a sense that, zenoss does allow adding new kind of threshold by
programming. Is it real?

Does anyone which have done this before? and leave some notes around?

Actually, I think this kind of behavior is more like 'avail. monitor' than
'perf. monitor', but yes, if zenoss doesn't support it in that way, I can only
use perf. monitor as a workaround.
