I'm trying to find out how one goes about setting this up, as we have had issues in the past where clocks are getting horrendously out of sync - up to 4 months out of date in one instance. I fixed that problem with a cron job but I have been asked to check if other systems have been affected in any way.
What I'd like to see is a table of all hosts in one column with their reported system time in the other. I can get the system date from SNMP OID 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.2, which generally outputs the same string regardless of the operating system. However, getting this information into a usable format that my boss can read is proving nigh on impossible. I don't really have any practical experience with python but I can see I will have to soon - but does anyone have any ideas as to how I could go about setting all of this up? If no-one has any specific examples related to this kind of report then is there a reference guide to creating custom reports, as the documentation seems a bit thin on the ground (I especially love the section about the use of table macros at the bottom of the howto): http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/howtos/how-to-add-a-report Oh, and where can I find proper documentation on TALES? A glossary doesn't really help if i don't know the structure! -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17943#17943 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
