We currently using zenoss Core to supervize around 110 servers on many countries. With the documentation i've started creating users, groups and alerts rules.

I would like to split worldwide and countries administrators for recieve alerts.

For example worldwide admin recieve alerts from all countries (US,India, France, UK) and other admins recieved only their own country server's alert.

By the way i've created some groups and users but I have to write "default" rules to all groups with a new restriction by location. Is it possible to create a global rule and redirect alerts by location ? or have I to create rules on each group to do that ?

One other question I ask to myself is the different view we can configure for users : so I've tried to create views for "none-admin" people.I can see the entire network even if i've got a country restriction. Ok users can't administrate servers without appropriate right, but I will be quiet embarrasing with 2000 objects in Zenoss.

So is it possible to create limited view with Zenoss Core actually ? (I create them in the user's event view but when I logon with it I still have the entire view of my network).

You would have to setup these alerting rules per-group. There are no global alert settings.

The ability to create users who are restricted to certain devices, locations, systems or groups within the system is a feature that is only available in Zenoss Enterprise.
