I have a great zLink that somebody (I am sorry that I do not remember who) helped me out with which allows me to get data from my rancid server:
<a href="http://10.1.3.66/websvn/filedetails.php?repname=RANCID&path=%2FSCO E%2Fconfigs%2F${here/id}&rev=0&sc=0">RANCID</a> This works great (as long as I ensure that the names in Zenoss are the same as they are in RANCID...but that is another issue.) In fact, it worked so well that I thought I would add one to our servers class to link to Dell info based on the service tag: <a href="http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/product _support/product_support_central?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=${here/hwser ialnumber}">Dell</a> Unfortunately this does not work for me. Zenoss does not seem to like the HWSerialNumber field. I read the section of the admin guide on TALES expressions. It listed attributes that use "dev/*" or "evt/*" (it is not clear to me whether or not you can use "device/*" and "event/*" or if only the shortened versions are acceptable. The text seems to say it one way and most of the examples use the other) but nothing that I can find uses "here/*". A shove in the right direction would really be appreciated.
