I recently downloaded the Zenoss 2 VM appliance from VMWare. I've been having inconsistent results using the Add Device feature from the web. For a couple of machines it worked, but then for most others it just spins for a second (with no log messages) and then finishes refreshing with no new device added, not status messages and no error response.
These are machines which I can ping from the VM fine and have SNMP enabled. And like I said, I've added two servers successfully so I know it's at least partially working. Any ideas on how to fix this or at least see some sort of message about why it's failing to add devices?
