I just got around to installing zenoss on a RHEL5 box and discovered that the install guide is incomplete.
http://www.zenoss.com/community/docs/install-guides/install-on-el5/ Specifically: [1] Mysql user root on localhost should have no password [2] After installing and starting zenoss, you should create the default user/password with command: /opt/zenoss/bin/zpasswd.py -u NEWUSER -p NEWPASS /opt/zenoss/inituser Then, restart zope with "/opt/zenoss/bin/zopectl restart" You can then go to http://server:8080 and log in with the user you created. -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=18570#18570 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
