thanks for all ur replies...after two days' work, I finally got zenoss running...for me the problem was that even I set mysql root pw to empty, zenoss initialization still returned me "wrong password" or whatever things...my server is at same time running cacti, i was not that glad but had no try other than removing the whole mysql and reinstall everything again...with a new mysql installation, zenoss was installed without any problem! and after the installation I moved back the cacti db, and everything working fine! Btw, the absent of zeoctl and zopectl should be caused by failure in opening mysql...
I have to say that it's really a powerfull tool!! Thank you guys!!!
