We just moved our Zenoss system into pre production testing. I will be monitoring about 80 devices. I am grouping these devices by responsibility. Grouping by owner and by physical location. I am currently sending e-mail alerts to the machine's owner. I have all the alerting rules running under the admin user so that I can administer them.
I want to have the alerts escalate if ignored. Specifically, if the alert goes to Bryan and he doesn't hear his phone etc for 30 minutes, the system should alert his supervisor. And so on. We want one point of contact at each level. Any suggestions or tips?
