Hello all...

I've spent the last few hours banging my head on the desk over the following
issue as it makes Zenoss unusable in my environment and I would appreciate any
advise someone could give me on this problem.

I have a couple Cisco routers with gig interfaces that for whatever reason are
being created as IpInterface entries with the ethernetCsmacd template instead
of the ethernetCsmacd_64 template that it needs.

All attempts to modify the template attached to these interfaces have not
worked. If I attempt to do the obvious thing in the UI and bind the needed
template to the specific IpInterface object the Zenoss UI just shows a
malformed status box and sits there and does nothing. I see no way of
modifying the device's settings itself to have modeling create the appropriate
interfaces with the correct template bindings.

Has anyone figured this out?
