Is it possible to have a template automatically bind to specific types of device (In the same way as the interface templates automatically bind to an interface with that name).
I would rather not have to manually bind the template to either a class or individual devices - I want to create it at the /device class and let it propagate down The docs suggest that the template should have the same 'name' or id as the device - is that the OID or the device type name or what? - Lots of my devices come up as unknown!!! I assume I am going about this the right way - I want to have some graphs on the 'device' performance tab so am creating a template which references 'interesting' interfaces directly by their interfaces-table.IFindex OIDS. Also probably CPU utilisation etc...
