This is on Ubuntu 8.04 server. The mysqld that was running was from the previous install of zenoss. Apparently the shutdown didn't get it.
When using the bin and then uninstalling it, I did rm -rf /usr/local/zenoss and rm /etc/init.d/zenoss-stack. I also removed the last line in /home/zenoss/.bashrc So, the deb installed fine, but we still can't get the alerting rules to work. Hasn't anyone else had this problem?
