I did the same with OpenSuse and got to the same results. I tried so many thinks but never got to make it work perfectly.
So now I simply installed 2.2 on a fresh OpenSuse and re-enter all my data. I hope next updates and upgrades wont give me such head hakes. If you find a workaround let me know !!!
