You could increase the size of the virtual disk and grow the partition
to then do the backup...

My zenoss install is getting way too large. I want to backup the core
configuration and move everything off the appliance.
Code:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
rootfs 4.9G 4.7G 0 100% /
/dev 379M 56K 379M 1% /dev
/dev/root 4.9G 4.7G 0 100% /
none 379M 0 379M 0% /dev/shm
however, the backup fails because there isnt enough space.
Code:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ zenbackup -v --dbpass=zenoss --no-eventsdb
Skipping backup of events database.
Backing up zeo database.
Backing up config files.
Backing up performance data.
tar: /tmp/tmpYHntKs/zenbackup/perf.tar: Wrote only 6144 of 10240 bytes
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
whats the easiest way to make more room? can I clear or ignore all performance
data instead? i have no need for it or the events database. thanks!
