I see a number of reports here about this issue. I setup some standard
processes and then discoverd my solaris system, the import looks fine and after
a few mins I see the system seems to be monitored ok..

I decide to start testing by stopping a service in this case cron, I did that
at about 17:30 and I saw not a single alert for that stopped processs.

I check this morning and I see that it has now seen the dead process reported
first at 22:24, thats a hell of a delay....

The first error report seems to corresond with a remodel I see in the logs
it looks like a dead process is not detected until a remodel occurs..

Another odd thing is that the main processes I setup for monitoring are all
gone....

I tested an older version of the Zenoss server, again stopping the cron process
and I found that although the display bug was there i.e the thing stays green
in the OS tab, when you click below the processs you see its alerting. So I am
begining to think I will step back a version at least I will get an alert.....

Any better ideas??

Cheers,

Mark
