argh. zenoss 2.2.0. centos 5.1. have been running reasonably stable for a week. an event was generated by a restart of mongrel_rails across all the servers. one server registered the outage. fine. unfortunately, for reasons that - well, there are no reasons that would explain it - zenping, zensyslog, and zentrap won't stay running. i've shutdown zenoss, cleared the /opt/zenoss/var/*zec files, started zenoss. no go. the log is useless:
2008-06-24 13:31:51 INFO zen.ZenPing: Finished pinging 38 jobs in 0.01 seconds 2008-06-24 13:32:10 INFO zen.ZenPing: delete pidfile /opt/zenoss/var/zenping-localhost.pid 2008-06-24 13:32:10 INFO zen.ZenPing: Daemon ZenPing shutting down 2008-06-24 13:32:10 INFO zen.ZenPing: zenping shutting down no other diagnostic info. that's it. it shut down. same with the others. what magic am i missing? -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=21772#21772 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
