I am running Zenoss 2.2.0. I turned up zenmail, on port 25, and messages seem to be coming into the system.
The logs show "sending event...", but there is no following "event sent." message in the zenmail log (from MailProcessor.py). Also, the verbose output from the mailx command does say "... Deferred". This seems to be from the zenmail deamon? I can run a tcpdump, and see the message come into the zenoss host on port 25. I can't see why the call to sendEvent is not working or hanging... This is a faily new install, but SNMP, syslog, and other components seem to be working fine. Am I missing something? Any advice would be appreciated.
