The best I can describe for you is this..... Zenoss keeps all it's devices in "containers"....similar to the folder structure in your pc. At the "container" (or folder) level you can edit the "data collection" parameters. You can also configure the collection parameters at the device level as well.
Knowing the above, I strongly recommend you download and read the Admin Guide (follow the "Documentation" link on the zenoss website).
