Hi, I have configured a Cisco 2800 series to work with ZenOSS. I have setup all the SNMP config on Cisco, added the device to ZenOSS, "discovery" went fine, didn't throw any obvious errors.
I can see the device on ZenOSS GUI, under Device List however, I am not able to see any events from the Cisco. For example, if I shutdown an interface on Cisco and bring it back again, I expect to that on ZenOSS under events. I have these config on the Cisco. snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication linkdown linkup coldstart warmstart snmp-server enable traps tty snmp-server enable traps dsp card-status snmp-server enable traps dsp oper-state snmp-server enable traps frame-relay multilink bundle-mismatch snmp-server enable traps syslog Am I doing something wrong here? Can someone help pls? Also, what is the difference of using syslog & SNMP?
