In previous versions of Zenoss, it was possible to specify multiple SNMP performance collectors on a single Zenoss server, and then select one or the other on a per-host basis. So we implemented an extra collector that polled at one-minute intervals, in addition to the default which polls at 5 minute intervals.
In Zenoss 2.2, it appears to be only possible to do this by installing a second complete instance of Zenoss, since an individual device can only be associated with a Zenoss collector and not with a specific zenperfsnmp daemon on the collector. Is there a way around this? We don't need to implement another Zenoss instance entirely since we have ample room to grow performance-wise, but we DO have a specific need to poll particular devices on a shorter interval. If possible, we would like to do this on a single Zenoss installation.
