Success! So I did what you suggested and ran zenmib with -v10, which I assume
is a full debug-level verbosity. It gave:

Code:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] site]$ zenmib run cpsequal.my -v10
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG-SMING
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file
/opt/zenoss/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG-SMING-EXTENSIONS
INFO:zen.zenmib:Skipping file /opt/zenoss/share/mibs/irtf/IRTF-NMRG-SMING-TYPES
DEBUG:zen.zenmib:cpsequal.my
DEBUG:zen.zenmib:running smidump -fpython "cpsequal.my" 2>/dev/null
INFO:zen.zenmib:Loaded mib CPS-EQUALIZER-MIB

Of course, it didn't actually load the mib, so I ran the smidump of that file
and got:

Code:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] site]$ smidump -fpython "cpsequal.my"
cpsequal.my:240: failed to locate MIB module `CPS-REGISTRATIONS-MIB'
cpsequal.my:291: unknown object identifier label `cpsSystemEqualizer'
smidump: module `cpsequal.my' contains errors, expect flawed output

plus all the text of the file. So it looked to me that the names of the mib
files posted on the vendor website aren't the names that get looked for when
they're loaded. I renamed them to CPS-REGISTRATIONS-MIB and CPS-EQUALIZER-MIB
and they loaded into Zenoss with all the OIDs.

Thank you. You've obviously earned your rank!
