I'm at a loss here and I hope someone can help. I was trying to monitor a Win 2003 server box using just snmp to watch processes. The process is Apache.exe. Now I modeled the box and nothing appeared in the OSProcess list. I then created a new entry in the Apache Process list (the existing one was a httpd regex "^.*\/*httpd") This picks up the linux instances but didn't see the Windows one. I created a new entry with regex Apache.exe. I remodelled the server and I had two instances this time, the orginal httpd and my new Apache.exe. I realised that as httpd appears in the param list I only needed the first process definition so I deleted the Apache.exe rule.
Now I am continously getting alerts saying that Apache.exe isn't running and I can't find how I can stop this. I'm assuming that because I didn't delete the Process from the Server definition before deleting the Process rule I've caused a problem. I've tried remodeling the device multiple times (that is a problem in itself as other processes I've defined to monitor keep coming and going after each model attempt and zenoss errors if I try and manually add an OS Process). The only thing I can think of now is to delete the device and start again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
