Hi all! I searched the forums and saw many posts on this subject. However none of them helped me. If somewhere there is a solution please point me to it. Thanks.
I have a brand new zenoss-stack 2.2 installation and after working fine for few days i've changed the ip address. Few minutes later zinping, zensyslog and zentrap gave me heartbeat failures. Of course, i' updated /etc/hosts file with the new ip address (while localhost point to 127.0.0.1). I've followed the advices at http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2041. Now I don't get hearbeat failure messages, but daemons don't runs, even after restarting the box. Running zenping from command line i see: Code: INFO:zen.ZenPing:started WARNING:zen.ZenPing:Reconnected to ZenHub INFO:zen.ZenPing:fetching monitor properties INFO:zen.ZenPing:fetching default RRDCreateCommand INFO:zen.ZenPing:getting threshold classes INFO:zen.ZenPing:getting collector thresholds INFO:zen.ZenPing:getting ping tree INFO:zen.ZenPing:Finished pinging 26 jobs in 0.02 seconds INFO:zen.ZenPing:Daemon ZenPing shutting down INFO:zen.ZenPing:zenping shutting down For zensyslog and zentrap i don't get any error either. I'm currently monitoring 27 devices, on 4 different subnets. I see that there are some issues for hostname change, but i couln't find any about ip address change (http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6255) Can you help? Thanks a lot!
