I am trying to figure how how to create a new event map type, to map my unknown event types to from my unix syslogs. Version 2.2
What I have done: I went into events, and made a new event class, named syslog by left clicking subclasses and new organizer. In the organizer I left clicked and choose, add mapping I named that syslog So, if I click edit, I have name syslog, and event class key syslog. Then I click on events, find the even I want to map to syslog, I just made. I check the box next to it, and click map events to class. I select /syslog from the list, (which has unknown under eventCalss) and click ok. I get "1 event does not have an event class key. Created 0 event mappings." Anyone know what I am doing wrong?
