I said screw it and did my own install. CentOS + rpm is actually pretty simple to setup, and it's a crapload easier to configure the system how you want it. The vm app is definitely nice to test it out and see if it fits your needs, but it's probably a better idea to setup your own system how you want for production... (it can still be within a VM :) ).
