I have the same issues (WMI not working on Dell-Server with same connect error)
and some more. I have problems to install mibs from fortinet or 3com or other Always get message "failed to locate ..." to standard-mibs in /mibs/ietf/ or dependencies manufacturer-mibs in /mibs/site/ wich definitly there. I try with user zenoss with full path, with relative path, with direct in path, with web-interface ... every time the same message, dell-mibs work, the first mibs from 3com (three parts) work, then now mib can integrate to zenoss. It is Ubuntu-Server 8.0.4 I resolve the Problem with the new location of /share/ and /libexec/ with symbolic Links in $ZENHOME Zenping didn't found my server "myserver.mydomain.loc" althoug DNS work correct (nslookup resolve the right IP to the Name).
