The following commands should solve this problem. I had the same one.
# /usr/bin/replace /usr/bin/python $ZENHOME/bin/python -- $ZENHOME/bin/*
# /usr/bin/replace /usr/bin/python $ZENHOME/bin/python --
$ZENHOME/etc/zeo.conf
# vi $ZENHOME/etc/zeo.conf
Put in comment:
python 2.4
And add:
python /usr/local/zenoss/bin/python
# vi $ZENHOME/bin/zopectl
Look if the variable PYTHON directs to /usr/local/zenoss/bin/python
