I guess zenping does not work then ? Zenping needs to have a server which is the zenoss server itself to build the layer3 deps. By default (that means the first time you installed zenoss) your zenoss server was added as localhost. If changed the name inside zenoss of the zenoss server zenping will fail to create it's deps. that's why you always should change the name. But if you open the script look foor the line where localhost is in, and change this to your zenoss server then.
