I'm using Zenoss image for VMware and I have a problem with setup altering rules. I would like to monitor 3 Macintosh OS X Servers (10.4.11). I did setup SNMP at server side, adding devices to Zenoss was successful. Process setup on server side was also successful. Right now I would like to setup alerting rules for process monitoring and for ping response. I tried search this forum and tried few ways, but it looks like none of them works. Can someone please guide me a little how to setup those alerting rules? I did setup user account, e-mail test is working, the only thing I need now is setup following rules:
1) Try ping to machine, if doesn't reply, send e-mail. 2) Check if process is running, if not, send e-mail.
