When trying to Map an event to a class,
I get the error "1 event is not class /Unknown. Created 0 view mappings."
The syslog Event I was trying to map was:
kernel: zaptel Disabled echo canceller because of tone (rx) on channel 24
It appeared that the event was already mapped to an EventClass by the
the EventClass mapping "kernel" in /Events/HW/Network.
This EventClass mapping has Example filled, but the Rule and Regex are
empty.
So when trying to map the event, the error message actually told me,
that it was looking for the event in /Unknown, but couldn't find it there.
The reason was because it was already mapped to /HW/network.
I've changed the EventClass mapping "kernel" in /Events/HW/Network.
And copied the content of the Example to the Regex.
Then I ackowledged the event from zaptel and moved it to history.
And i created a EventClass mapping for the zaptel syslog message manually.
So let's see if the next time, the event is mapped correctly.
Because if the 'kernel' EventMapping without a Rule or regex, this
mappes _every_ 'kernel' syslog message to this eventmapping.
maybe this is something to be fixed in zenoss?

Robert
