I am trying to change a device's production state from the command line.
There's one post I can find about doing this from zendmd which calls for
setting productionState property to the value equivalent to the end state -- in
other words set it to 1000 for production, -1 for decommissioned, etc.
If I make this change, the state in the edit dropdown for the server changes to
the correct value. Let's use the example of changing it from -1
(Decommissioned) to 1000 Production.
In this case the server *remains* in the Production State portlet, even though
the state column reads "Production." Furthermore I get no alerts.
If I navigate to the device, change the dropdown under edit to something else
("Pre-Production") and then back to Production and click save, the device is
removed from the Production State portlet and alarms resume.
Am I missing some additional change needed through zendmd to move devices to
new production states? Or is this a bug I should report?
Does anybody have a workaround?
Thanks for the help,
-Eric
