I tried to duplicate this and couldn't.
Add Event->
Message: test
Device: testtesttest
Severity: Critical
EventClass: /Status/Heartbeat
and repeated with Severity: Error
A note, the Heartbeat Events clear and show up in EventHistory.
This was with 2.2.3.
