I don't know if this would be of any help to anyone, but this problem recently
started with me after I did an auto-discover for the first time.

I've been adding servers manually while I've been testing Zenoss (2.2.3) in my
environment, which by the way has been working fine, so I decided today that I
would just do an auto discover on a single subnet and delete out what I didn't
need. After the discovery completed I started deleting away the trash just to
find out it was repopulating just as fast as I could get rid of it. So I went
to the subnet settings and zAutodiscovery was set to true, and since turning it
off I now get the same error described in this post and I can't get it back to
how it was.

I tried the suggestion by webpass and it works well enough for now, but it
would be nice to cut out the unnecessary step.
