So you can or cannot add a device one at a time with 2.2.3? I don't want
to monitor or try and add every desktop, laptop, server etc on my
subnet(s), but do want to monitor specific servers...

Version 2.2.3 uses zendisc instead zenmodeler to add a device. Which leads to problems if you have auto discovery turned off.
So the problem is quite likely the combination large network with auto
discovery turned off and the new behavior of 2.2.3.
