Well, Zenoss isn't using Apache?? Unless you are passing through apache
port 80 or 443 to 8080? I think you may be reading the wrong docs...
I actually don't remember setting anything up with Apache until we set
up the rewrite/passthrough to get SSL. You may want to check into the
usual suspects, like firewalls etc. Oh, and see if you are binding to
external IPs? Look at IPtables config, see if it lets incoming 8080 from
your subnet...
