Hi guys i am a new user to zenoss and honestly i don't have the patience to sit
and read through the admin guide.......sorry. so let me get to the point. i
have a setup in which i have a local area network and i have installed fedora
core 7 on one of my servers. this same server is where i have installed my
zenoss core installation in as well. Now i will explain the problems in points:
1. when i do auto discovery, i do find a lot of nodes and some have snmp and
some dont but my laptop does not show up at all. i have both snmp enabled and
also snmp informant but still i can only add my laptop's ip address manually
through add a device and even though it querys and finds the device and adds it
it still gives me a error message which says cannot ping.

2. the other one is in the network map. when it is in local network the map is
created only after we place the devices into the corresponding locations in the
individual device properties. But even then not all the devices are showing in
the network map.

3. The other point is i have a vpn connection to my friends network and when i
try to autodiscover his network it does that but after i place all the devices
into their respective positions it comes up on the network map but with broken
links and when we double click on certain devices in the network map it just
keeps toggling btw the already shown devices in the network map instead of
showing the devices connected to that network.

i would appreciate it if some one could help me with these issues.

Thank You.
