The Zenoss Developer Guide has these instructions for running zendmd
with scripts:
You can feed zendmd commands on stdin:
$ zendmd < AddDevices.py
You can also import scripts:
$ zendmd
import MyScripts
MyScripts.loadDevices(dmd)

By chance is there a way to not cut and paste this, maybe run a
