I guess I could play with the "add event" goodie, maybe I can stuff somthing like "Error in Log Detected" into the event log, each time I get one of the threshold alarms from the Log check. I seem to remember somwhere I can add a commnd to run based on the alert..
Then of course never clear it, so then the original alerts will dissappear in the normal cycle and I should have left only my corresponding alerts in the Event log. I know its not very clean but I guess it could work... Better still If I could setup an Event to be active without being displayed in the Event Console I would have the mechanism I need.... but event mapping using "History" won't do, neither will "drop" and "Status" is what I have now...
