I'm running the appliance on a Windows 2000 server, which is used for some
lesser important tasks, until it breaks down (hence the Windows 2000).
The appliance has been functioning for a few weeks without problems, until
recently Zenoss reporting that the snmp agent on the windows 2000 server went
down. The server is only used for monitoring our 3 other servers' (which are
Win2k3) performance.
When the agent goes down, the performance monitoring on the appliance also goes
down. so I'm getting no reading of any of the servers, which renders my zenoss
essentially useless :).
The monitoring continues when I manually start the SNMP Trap process on the
win2k, but after a few hours, the service goes down again.
Might anyone have an idea why the service goes down? I can't find anything in
the Win2k servers' event log that might have triggered the service shutdown...
