Heartbeats are for Zenoss components. If you see a heartbeat count that is the number of times Zenoss expected communication from the component, and didn't get it. You'll want to check if that daemon is running, the logs to see if it isn't and why.

If you have intentionally moved some part or all of Zenoss or changed the name, you can clear the heartbeats to get rid of the message. This is done from the Event Manager.
