I'm having the same problem with 2.2.3 on fedora core 8. I'm attempting to monitor tnslsnr for oracle on a solaris 10 machine. And for some reason i end up with a duplicate process of the one that i locked. When the problem occurs both the locked and new (non-locked) processes go red and i have to clear them both, meanwhile i can see that the tnslsnr process never went away to begin with!
